lessons

The lessons I’ve learned,

Have come at a cost.

It’s painful to look at,

The moments I’ve lost.

Oh for a chance,

To go back and fix,

When my moments went,

Awry and amiss.

But there’s no going back,

No changing what’s done.

I can only start now,

And learn my lesson.
